terms of service.
These terms cover your use of Buzz, operated by Lightyear. By using Buzz you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Who can use Buzz
Buzz is invitation-only, for founders in Lightyear's residency, Lightyear staff, and people they invite. You must be at least 18. Keep your password private; you're responsible for activity on your account.
Your content
You own what you put into Buzz, including your notes, requests, contacts and uploads. You give Lightyear permission to store and process it only to run Buzz for you and your team, as described in the privacy policy. Only upload contact data you're allowed to use.
Email you send
Buzz drafts emails; it never sends them. You decide what to send and you're responsible for it. Send only relevant, personal messages to people you have a reason to contact, follow anti-spam laws such as CAN-SPAM, and stop contacting anyone who asks you to. Buzz limits how many drafts it creates each day to protect your sender reputation.
Buzz's suggestions
Buzz's suggestions and drafts are produced with AI and can be wrong or incomplete. Review everything before you rely on it or send it.
Introductions and partner help
Requests to partners and introduction requests are asks, not promises. Partners decide whether and how to help. People in a partner's network are shared with you only in the way the privacy policy describes; don't try to identify or contact them outside the introduction process.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse Buzz: no attempts to access other people's data, break security, overload the service, scrape it, or use it to send spam or anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
Ending your use
You can stop using Buzz, disconnect Google and delete your contacts at any time from My data, and delete your account yourself from the Account page (or ask the Lightyear team). Lightyear may close Buzz or an account with reasonable notice, except where immediate action is needed for security or misuse.
No warranty and limits
Buzz is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Lightyear isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for outcomes of emails you send or introductions you request.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will note the date above; continuing to use Buzz means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of California. Questions: the Lightyear team.
